THE LOWDOWN: Family Mosaic is a housing association based in London. I've been writing their tenants' annual report for the last six years. The content is packed with information on the organisation's performance in areas like rent collection, repairs and the construction of new homes. It goes to a broad audience so it has to be written in plain English and we prefer a friendly,  conversational tone. With a starting 'stanfirst' summary paragraph for each section, plenty of pull out copy and easy-to-understand graphs, the aim is to create a report that offers bitesize pieces of information for readers to scan and refer back to.  Here's a section to give you a feel for tone, pace and writing style.
