THE LOWDOWN: This annual report was produced a few years ago.  One of the country's biggest housing providers, Places for People, asked me to write the report at a time when the construction industry had all but ground to a halt. The economic downturn was having an impact across the housing sector. And Places for People wanted to maintain confidence among lenders and partners in its ability to deliver new homes and communities. My suggestion was to highlight these economic challenges and talk about how the business was not only responding, but how it was also going one step further to ensure continued growth. The result was a corporate report that positioned Places for People as an innovative, visionary organisation with the right products and services to meet customer demand.
