THE LOWDOWN:  The Well is a Community Interest Company which provides support to people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. Despite only setting up in 2012, The Well was gaining a strong foothold in the recovery community and they wanted to project a more professional, commercial image. Their existing website was too simplistic. The design was poor and the content didn't reflect the organisation's vision and drive. They asked me to create a new site for them, completely from scratch.

To begin, I wrote a web strategy which set out the purpose of the site, the target audience, the key messages and the tone of language. From there, I devised a page plan/navigational structure, and created a photography list before researching and writing the content. I designed and built the website in Squarespace. The result is an attractive, user-friendly website that positions The Well as an experienced, successful and reliable service provider.
